Definitely illegal, unethical. No question about it - an office in exchange for an act ( either commission or ommission)

If someone in Obama's administration was stupid enough to do this, they deserve to suffer the consequences.

And by the way, Sestak did the ONLY thing he could do in the circumstances - reveal it. We all know that our reps are being monitored and wired. With impunity. Even subject to blackmail. With impunity. How would Sestak know if this wasn't a set-up? Suppose he said "Sure! I'll drop out if you make me Secretary of the Navy." Then he would be just as guilty.

I don't have any sympathy. If they did it - let the chips fall where they may.
