President Obama's good week just got a little better -- 244,000 new jobs in April.

The new jobs report is not all good news -- the unemployment rate inched back up to 9%, from 8.8% in March. But that reflects the fact that more people have re-entered the labor force and are actively looking for job, another sign of economic recovery.

The economy has now added more than 200,000 jobs for three straight months, which the Associated Press describes as "the biggest hiring spree in five years."

Obama will discuss the economy later today during a visit to a transmission plant in Indianapolis.
