It was Christmas day, so I figured I would just laugh off his comment, but I didn't have a zinger to make him think about what he was saying. I now would have said "Aw shucks, Dad... you're mixing up weather with climate, you silly man..." or something.

I also work with someone who defines himself as a "liberal", yet makes comments where he mixes up weather with climate and jokes about global warming. I think everyone knows someone like this, and hopefully this thread and all its contributions from those responding helps educate and empower people with a succinct, proper response.
