55. He didn't reform health care
He reformed health insurance. And he did it by enacting the kind of legislative details against which he campaigned. There is nothing in the liberal agenda about mandated health insurance or cadillac taxes. Even HE explained that this was highly similar to the proposals from 1995, written by the GOP as a response to "Hillary Care". There is nothing liberal about a health insurance bill that admits right up front that when it is fully enforced, there will STILL be 25 million uninsured people in this country.

I'll give ya student loan reform, although I'd hardly call that any part of a core "liberal agenda". Just because it isn't right wing doesn't mean it's "liberal".

I don't really understand this desire of the Obama supporters to label him as either liberal or progressive. He is neither, nor wants to be labeled as such. If you enjoy his work so much, embrace and defend it for what it is. It doesn't serve you, or him, to try to relabel it something it is not. If it can stand on it's own, the labels be damned. It leads me to believe that you are aware that he is a centrist, and all that that implies. So you have to go and try to redefine the words, in some sort of Orwellian fashion.
