12. The interest rates would NOT immediately go up ...

The S&P has to decide to down grade our rating first and then after that the interest rates would go up. That's not going to happen in the middle of the night. Also, even if the debt ceiling bill does get signed the S&P could still lower the USA's rating.

I didn't hear anything about it not being signed in time in the past. I haven't heard anyone mention that until you just did now.
