Lately we've abolished the death penalty, get civil unions, which is probably the first step toward gay marriage, and there is talk of a one pay system. But we are also dealing with a huge budget deficit thanks to our former freaking Governor Blago and Quinn had to raise the income tax, but he also raised taxes on the Rich and on Corporations so its not all bad.
