6. When it says "the families celebrated Christmas together," does that mean the Ensign family and the
Hampton family celebrated their Christmases, each family "together" at its own house, or does it mean that the two families were together en masse celebrating all in the same room? Because holy crap if I found out Mr. Brickbat was having an affair and told me about it and then said he wanted our families to spend Christmas together, I'm pretty sure the court would find me not responsible for my actions.

Also, I hate to be That Poster, but is there a quick reference guide about this story? I'm getting interested in this in the middle of it, and haven't paid attention to earlier stories.
