The reason some here question that is because Ibrahim has a history of making false claims, especially about 'civilian casualties' of NATO airstrikes. Like 'Baghdad Bob,' Ibrahim has come to be known as 'Tripoli Tom.'

Claims by both sides in the conflict should be treated merely as allegations, not as Gospel. Why give automatic credence to one side's claims--but not the other? Both are subject to the same standards of evidence, yet some seize on this unsupported claim as if it is fact.
