15. Many who hoped for Change feel the say way.
My enthusiasm has waned. I no longer have any hope in significant changes. I realized that he had a difficult task ahead of him, but I never expected him to be so weak on key issues. Even if he was unable to get everything we wanted, he could have set the tone for eventual change in the cases of financial reform, health care and taxes.

This where I see that he failed. He should have made it crystal clear to the citizens that these were key issues and the obstruction by the Republicans was solely in the interest of corporations who own them. He could have said okay, I can't win, but the Republican obstructionists are the sworn enemy of the working class. He should have made it a clear that it was class warfare; the wealthy against the workers and that the wealthy were determined to defeat any measure that didn't further enrich them at the expense of the working class. He totally failed and let the Republicans define the issue.
