42. That is the most destructive thing to come from "Ray-gun"
This "awe-shucks...you ought to just be thankful you have a job" screed you hear every day.

At one time in this country, we valued labor. Now, we value wealth, but not the labor that helped create that wealth. It's like every person who makes it to a comfortable spot thinks they got there by themselves. "Look at me"! "Look at how great I am!"

The entire country is screwed like a "soup sandwich". If you listened to the folks who lick the testicles of Grover Norquist, you'd think that in the 50's and 60's, when the top tax-rate was 70-90%, we didn't have any "rich" people in the country.

To me, it's never been about "re-distributing wealth"...it's about "re-distributing power". There is so much power concentrated at the top...(and let's not forget that according to our Supreme Court, with money comes power and influence)...that even the things that we know need to be done legislatively, can't be done.

Not many would complain about the top 1%'s wealth growing over that past 30 years, if the bottom 99% had also seen their wealth grow at a similar rate.
