(long person story alert!....) I've been out of work 3 years, can't get disability without a doctor. But luckily I am married (and to somebody who makes $34,000 a year, so we feel rich!), and my husband said he wouldn't think I was crazy for going (even though I pointed out gas prices have gone up and it's about 95 miles one way). I told my 16 year old to ask her history teacher if she can get credit if she brings pictures back to school. That may make my decision for me! My sister lives in Madison. She and her husband (who works at a food co-op) went to some of the rallies. This is the time that working people really need to stand up and stand together. I have a son in college and another daughter with 2 small kids and a husband and they just bought a house. I want my kids to have a chance at the old American way of having a decent job and a place to live. That doesn't seem like so much to ask. Let's keep the dream from becoming more of a nightmare than it already has. The more I think and write about this, the more I think I can't NOT go!!!!!! Now if the weather will dry up and not get any colder, I can take this old bag of broken bones and stand up!!!!
