March Madness
March 28th, 2011
The news leaking out of Japan is sounding bleak. Radiation at 100,000 times normal levels has been found in the water around the most damaged reactor and is leaking into the Pacific. And if that’s not bad enough, soil samples have tested positive for plutonium at five different sites on the facility property.

Containment efforts and details remain unclear, but at least a partial meltdown has been admitted. What impact, if any, should this have on our many nuclear power plants here in the US? Our national infrastructure is in decay, thanks to years of ill-managed federal funds and bankrupt state governments (largely due to the wasted/stolen taxpayer dollars fed into the killing machines of the Bush terror wars), and our regulatory agencies have been stripped of any teeth . . . .could we be a few tremors away from radioactive disaster?

Speaking of the never-ending terror wars, our current war-time President plans a national address tonight to discuss the US involvement in Libya, the third active-duty theater we’re now spending our blood and treasure. Tune in at 7:30 PM ET for that festival or propaganda, then join us around the campfire LIVE at 9PM ET for discussion and analysis: 877-996-2556!

Video outrage of the day: Childhood Memories from Wisconsin

And then check this out as well: Courage and Hunger

TWO YEARS AND COUNTING . . . . .

Sometimes it’s hard to believe we’ve been independently broadcasting for two years now, and despite the best efforts of the Flying Monkey Right to rid the airwaves for that irritating Malloy person – we’re still here! As we begin our third year of self-syndication this month we thank all of you who have made it possible for us to keep it lit, without an “official” network. We literally cannot do it without your support. We are glad we have not been forced into progressive radio extinction, or forced to raise our podcast prices, and continue to maintain our position on your radio dial, ipod, smart phone, or PC “favorite place” list. But it’s not been easy.

So as we thank you for your ongoing support, we ask that if you can, please consider sponsoring an hour of the program. Mike will read your personal message or advertise your product three times during your sponsorship hour. It’s also a unique way to send a birthday greeting, get well wishes, or honor an important event or anniversary. And the merchandise for sale in our Malloystore not only supports the program, but serves as creative advertising for the program as well.

We look forward to another year of flying-monkey-free fun and frivolity with your help!

Join us around the campfire at 9PM ET tonight! 877-996-2556!

Off the Reservation
March 28th, 2011
Seems Sec. of Defense Robert Gates is breaking ranks with the administration over Libya. Gates and Sec. of State Hillary Clinton visited David Gregory on Meet the Press on Sunday and shared decidedly different views on our latest excursion into the Mideast.

Here’s a sample exchange from the program:

MR. GREGORY: Secretary Gates, Is Libya in our vital interest as a country?

MR. GATES: No, I don’t think it’s a vital interest for the U.S., but we clearly have interests there, and it’s a part of the region which is a vital interest for the U.S.

(Sec. Clinton jumps in)

SEC’Y CLINTON:Well, but, but, but then it wouldn’t be fair as to what Bob just said. I mean, did Libya attack us? No. They did not attack us. Do they have a very critical role in this region and do they neighbor two countries — you just mentioned one, Egypt , the other Tunisia — that are going through these extraordinary transformations and cannot afford to be destabilized by conflict on their borders? Yes.

Ah, there’s the rub. Clear as mud, our foreign policy. I wonder if the same Neocons who praised Raisin Brain for his “decisive” and “bold” unitary actions in Afghanistan and Iraq (with the macho Bush Doctrine, dead or alive, big ol’ codpiece on the flight suit tough Texan vibe) will similarly applaud President Obama for his “strike ‘em before they strike us back” Bushonian (or rather, Chenesque) militant philosophy?

It is rather refreshing – especially following Rumsferatu – to hear a Sec. of Defense actually admit – in plain language – that we’re rushing in with our Big (taxpayer funded) Guns blazing even though we have no dog in the fight.

Now it’s up to President Obama to come out tonight and magically meld the mixed messages from his most senior Cabinet Members. He’s a wizard of wordsmith, but this may prove a feat of Presidential prestidigitation beyond his prodigious powers.

:hi: :loveya:  :pals: :woohoo:
