one but BoA IT knows for sure.

Yeah-- debit cards have the fees halved, and banks can't get those $35 overdraft fees so easily any more. This is not exactly due to The Law of Unintended Consequences because the geniuses in DC should have guessed that the banks would try to get the money back somehow. Truth is, I can't say it wasn't deliberately set up for this to happen.

BTW, some asshole on the radio this morning said that since the debit fees were reduced, prices would be reduced so the $5 fee is actually in the consumer's interest.

(You would think that after slamming your head against that damn wall so much it would at least show a little crack...)
