The police officer who brutally grabbed and slugged an #OccupyWallStreet protester has been identified by the New York Daily News as Deputy Inspector Johnny Cardona, and it appears that Cardona has quickly established a track record of mistreating #OWS protesters, apparently for no good reason.

The demonstrator, Felix Rivera-Pitre, was videotaped being punched by Cardona while walking away from him on Friday, and the video is now well-known. Police are considering pressing charges against Rivera-Pitre, but there is no evidence that the protester did anything illegal, despite several video cameras documenting the event.

Lesser known is the video that is of the prelude to the infamous "pepper spray" video of two weeks ago. It appears that Cardona is the same officer that flew into a rage and grabbed a female protester by the neck and head, forcing her to the pavement, and kicking her two weeks ago. By looking at the video, this attack appears to be unprovoked as well.
