The Unemployed Have the Right to Make Themselves Obnoxiously Visible

Municipalities got rid of the homeless problem by making the homeless invisible. Now the unemployed are joining with the homeless to become visible, obnoxious and noisy. Nothing good will come of efforts to suppress this movement because unlike the homeless, the unemployed can't be "disappeared."

A winner-take-all society and a democratic society can't coexist in the same social space. Turning our free society over to the police undermines the social contract. Nothing good will come of efforts to make the unemployed get out of our faces. This is only going to lead to escalation.
