Mr. Cain is scheduled to make at least two more appearances in Washington over the course of the day and will no doubt be closely followed by the media.

At the same time, the lawyer for one of his accusers has said he will be trying to contact the National Restaurant Association to get his client released from a confidentiality agreement that prevents her from talking about the case.
