195. I've done a lot of ICE on the North/South lines
For one regular trip it went: car to train station (I lived where buses rarely ran), walk straight to the platform and hop on an ICE (no security!), get off four hours later on the other side of Germany, short bus trip to my destination. Repeat reverse order at end of day.
Medium-distance travel doesn't get any better than that.
