73. Though not perfect, I know what to expect from the Mac.
I got hooked into the Mac soap opera back in the 90's. One of their kernel programmers (MkLinux) filled me in on their long term strategy. I have watched it unfold with a little alteration to tactics. Back in the 90's they had their eye on becoming the content delivery system for Hollywood. QuickTime was at the center of this goal. That was why MS wanted to force Apple to "Knife the baby". (The baby being QuickTime) The DoJ investigation of MS probably gave Jobs enough leverage to convince Gates to back off and cut that deal.
