The Pulitzer family is having a meeting tonight (Sunday) about selling its media empire including the Post. I have no link because it was on the local news not more than 10 minutes ago.

The newspaper publisher Pulitzer is considering whether to sell, which could attract bids of up to $1.5 billion, bankers close to the negotiations said over the weekend.

Pulitzer, a successor to the company built by Joseph Pulitzer in 1878, publishes daily and weekly newspapers, including The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and The Arizona Daily Star, its two major metropolitan papers. The company did not return calls for comment
