Dean: Democrats raise $3.4M in three weeks
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2005/03/07/dean_democrats_raise_34m_in_three_weeks/

WASHINGTON -- "The Democratic National Committee raised $3.4 million in three weeks -- more than double the amount raised during the same time in 2001 after President Bush was first elected, the new Democratic chairman said Monday."

24. Me too! When the good Doctor tells me he needs $$$, I'm here to give!
In fact, if you check back to my old posts after the election, I quite clearly stated that if Terry Mcauliffe stayed or they didn't choose someone like Dean, they would never see another penny from me - ever again, and I have given lots, and they know it. I wrote them and told them so much...The day it was announced that Dean was selected as Chairman of the DNC, I donated.

And when he comes calling, I will open my checkbook... :hi:

"We're just delighted the fund raising is going better than we had dared to hope," Dean said Monday in a phone interview. "We haven't put out an Internet solicitation yet."

5. Dean is the only factor
that would make me consider contributing to the Democratic party at this point. The numbnut party "leaders" have run us into the ground. But, if there truly is a grassroots revival and Howard is its face, count me in.

Just to know what was said. Dean and others are speaking to the Communications Workers union Tuesday and Wednesday, and that would be great. Even the meeting with the AFL-CIO flew under the radar.

18. SEE how he's destroying the party?
The man's out of control, raising money like that! Doesn't he know how that will tear the Democrats apart?

Lesson number 4,357 in why we shouldn't listen to Republicans when they try to tell us what's good, right or best for the Democratic party. They don't have our best interests at heart, folks.

That actually encourages me to contribute. I unfortunately don't remember if I have already donated, but I think I have this past month. I'll probably throw down another fifty on the next paycheck.

Dean was one of the reasons I joined the party, him and Clark.

35. How can Dean make them be aggressive? Just asking.
He is meeting with the congressional leaders, working with them.

But did you know that he has been told NOT to set policy? NOT to do anything but organize in the background so to speak? He is not even giving national interviews right now.

I suspect that is part of the deal, like not running for president in 08.

He is just the so-called organizational chair to build the party. Problem it that the problems call for someone out there speaking out regularly and clearly.

I hope they get it together but the misguided notion he can do it alone is too much.

Let me know the name of the individual(s) who told him - not to do anything but organize in the background.

We need to ensure that they are not re-elected to whatever position they hold.

Wish it could be more, but that's what I can do right now. As for party enrollment, Dean's original run brought me into the party. His chairmanship is key among the reasons I will stay in the party.
