Iraqi insurgents will not be defeated for many months, Britain admitted today.

Senior Foreign Office officials said attacks were widespread and becoming increasingly sophisticated.

It had been hoped January’s elections would deal a major blow to the insurgents, but officials said troops and citizens still faced months of bloodshed.

“The insurgency is still very strong,” said one official.

“It is not going to be dealt with in a matter of months.”

The Palestinian insurgency (uprising) has been going on for decades. The Philippines has been battling their insurgency for decades. Columbia has been battling their insurgency for years.

Yet Bush & his poodle thought they could defeat the Iraqi insurgency in a matter of months.

This guy can look "many months" into the future and tell us when it will end ? Does he happen to know when the war with Iran will start as well ? He'd pretty much have to in order to get the Iraqi prediction right.
