Karzai Tells AP About al-Qaida's Demise
<http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/world/wire/sns-ap-karzai-ap-interview,0,1151421.story?coll=sns-ap-world-headlines>

NEW YORK -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who believes Osama bin Laden is hiding in the rugged mountain peaks that border Pakistan, said Friday that the al-Qaida terrorist network in his country has been wiped out.

Karzai warned, however, that unless the world steps up its aid and sends more troops, Islamic radicals could regain control in Afghanistan and stage more terror attacks in the West. He called on the United States to press Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to crack down on religious leaders helping Taliban fighters stage attacks across the border.

"There is no al-Qaida network anymore in Afghanistan," he said in an interview with The Associated Press at his heavily guarded hotel in New York. "They are in hiding. Their leadership is in hiding. Their rank-and-file is in hiding. They are no longer a viable underground organization."

Wiped out??? <eyes rolling> This guy isn’t safe just walking in Kabul let alone to even think about a stroll in the country side…what a joke.

5. Yeah but Karzai hasn't seen them...
Of course he can barely go outside in Kabul and forget about traveling outside of Kabul (in Afghanistan). I was surprised to see him at the UN, good luck Karzai.

7. HE'S THE MAYOR OF KABUL (UNELECTED BY THE PEOPLE)
He needs hundreds of EX-Rangers and EX-Green Berets.

Who are guarding him--- either as

1. State Department Body Guards (The Federal Govt Trough) or as

2. Private Corporation Body Guards (read Halliburton Private Trough)

To keep his sorry ass from being blown away.

He is deeply in debt to the Narco terrorists and other War Lords who have turned his City (country) into the premier Heroin region producing once again!!

6. Karzai? Is he still around?
So the "Mayor of Kabul" says that A-Q is in hiding, thus they're not a "network" anymore?

Somebody needs to take ol' Hamid aside and show him how these things work.
He prolly doesn't understand cockroaches, either....
