Poll: Disapproval of Bush at High Point (CNN/Gallup)
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 10:00 PM by Beetwasher
President's best marks on terrorism, worst on Social Security

CNN) -- The number of Americans disapproving of President Bush's job performance has risen to the highest level of his presidency, according to the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday.

According to the poll, 53 percent of respondents said they disapproved of Bush's performance, compared to 45 percent who approved.

The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percentage points.

The 53 percent figure was the highest disapproval rating recorded in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll since Bush became president in January 2001.

If Gallup's having a tough time keeping Chimpy's numbers up, things are bad for the fuckwit.

4. Could this be a ploy?? Exaggerate the low before the
big speech and then see if they can then push Bush approval over 50% after the Reichstag speech tomorrow?
They know the sheeple better than we do!
Surely they can float an Iran story or two to pump up Bushler.

been attacked since 9-11-01 ?? any illiterate would have bombed Afganistan as retaliation for 9-11, maybe even a moron wouldn't have cut and run when US. military had OBL boxed in tora-Bora.

So why does Bushco get high marks on "Fighting terrorism"??

59. We Need to Keep Up the Education Campaign on Iraq and Terrorism
We need to be relentless-- we need to continue to hammer America with the reality of the motives for, and the poor planning of the Iraq war.

Americans (particularly majorities in Red States) still want to believe that Shrub is effective against terrorism-- we need to give facts/data otherwise (and there are plenty!) to America by blog, electronic news service, and pressure the MSM to do the same.

We cannot stop until his credibility is fully destroyed, and we can then begin with a true bipartisan coalition in congress (I do not even know if this is a possibility at this point in time!) to pick up the pieces and try to save America's men in Iraq, and save our domestic programs that most Americans have come to rely on.

Yep, ol' Chimpy is gonna get in front of the cameras and give the same speech on Iraq he's been giving for years, except in a higher-pitched voice.

And the overnight polling will show he didn't change anyone's mind and we still hate the motherfcuker.

Until the failures of Busholini actually effect the millions of sheeple directly, he'll remain above 40%. Iraq won't change that. But, once they start seeing too much of their money go for expensive gas, they'll get upset.

Economic pain is the only thing that will turn the sheeple.

13. Yeah, if GALLUP says 45% approve of the blivet**'s job performance,
you know the REAL number must be REALLY low.

Or perhaps they asked the questions really carefully, like:

"Do you approve of the job our Fearless Leader is doing in putting on his pants facing the right way?"

"Do you think The Annointed One In The White House does a good job putting his left shoe on his left foot every day?"

...I'm sure you can come up with other questions that would do the trick.

that Bush is a failure in every sense of the word.

20. Other Site Polls Rank his Disapproval Much Higher - 60%
I don't believe a thing CNN/USA Today says, nor MSNBC, FAUX and all the others any longer. Here's betting his approval rating is sunken still lower then all reports.

Why? Because many of my local, normally staunch Republican voters hate him more then we do if you can imagine.

It's astonishing. And we all know how "angry" Republicans can be, since they didn't take winning so well, either.

I wonder how many times he'll say 'Iraq'/'terror'/'9/11' in the same sentence?

And I wonder how many times he'll say 'freedom' and 'democracy' and 'terrorists are trying to break our will' but 'we're going to stay the course' because we have 'resolve'.

I think the words 'freedom' and 'democracy' are beginning to strike 'terror' into the hearts of people around the world! I wish he'd stop saying them.

Oh, and maybe we should take bets on how often he mentions Osama!

More and more Americans are realizing the truth about this travesty of a president.

Edit: Still, National Security is his "strength." Unbelieveable.

"The lone bright spot for the president in the poll was his handling of terrorism, which scored a 55 percent approval rating, compared to just 41 percent who disapproved."

It is truly mind-boggling. I understand the reasons why, as wrong as they are, that many people still feel this way, but still it is mind-boggling.

66. Now just imagine how nervous Bush's caretakers must be.
After all, Bush is a PR creation. Everything he does is enhanced, modified and always brought out in the best possible light. Bush is surrounded by experts in media; I've read that these people have been in TV and broadcasting. They know what they're doing.

So just imagine their frustration as they attempt to put "lipstick on a pig". They know Bush is not very inspiring. He's a rogue - they just never know what he's going to do when he's up on stage. He stammers, stutters, merges sentences together and comes up with creative new meanings.

Now, more than ever, they need to enhance their product. Bush doesn't do well under pressure, and the pressure has never been so intense. All of Washington's plans are riding on public approval.

They're working frantically behind the scenes to make sure nothing goes wrong. Bush has sweat building on his forehead...

designed to keep the pugs in power. note that it is always 5-7 points above other polls which are also pug, all in favor of the pugs. skewed polls + diebold = the end of democracy
