Help pours into Alstead (NH), but residents still in shock
ALSTEAD, N.H. — Gov. John Lynch said Wednesday he is encouraged by progress restoring power and getting help to flood-ravaged southwestern New Hampshire, but said two more people might be missing and rain in the forecast could very likely lead to new flooding.

"We´re in a very volatile weather pattern right now and we could be seeing upwards of 5 to 7 inches of rain in various parts of New Hampshire," Lynch said by telephone as he left Concord for Alstead.

Rain began falling Wednesday morning in the Keene-Alstead area, and the National Weather Service said there could be another 3 to 6 inches in the next several days. Flood watches were announced for several areas.

Forecasters said the outlook was serious.

2. When that much rain falls in the mountains
It all runs into the valleys. I feel terrible for these people. We've seen enough flooding lately.

Good luck to all you neighbors!
