West Bank settlers turn to pigs for protection
Rabbis in Israel have reportedly been asked to approve plans to train pigs to guard West Bank settlements in a bid to thwart would-be Palestinian attackers from gaining "martyrdom".

The Maariv newspaper reports that directors of the Gdud Haivri, an organisation which supplies guard dogs to settlements in the West Bank, believe that pigs' more developed sense of smell will enable them to sniff out militants who hide before launching attacks.

"Pigs' sense of smell is far more developed than that of dogs," the firm's chief executive Gdud Haivri Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov told the paper.

"The pigs will also be able to identify weapons from huge distances and walk in the direction of the terrorist, thereby pointing him out.

"Moreover, this animal is considered to be dangerous by Islam and, according to the Muslim faith, a terrorist who touches a pig is not eligible for the 70 virgins in heaven," he said.

2. De-virginating pigs

Wow, what will they think of next? :D

You know, this sounds like the sort of the thing the Stasi did to the train the one time my dad visited East Germany. Dogs, amazons, sheer viledom, abject terrorizing of anyone. What a race into the ethical gutter... they're sure rebuilding Zion, that City On The Hill, for us all to look up to. One Soviet police and military tactic at a time.

12. Instead of Star-Wars, Bush should build a floating pig feeder-lot.
Will Bush next re-deploy his Star-War scientists to build a seaworthy stratigic hog-carrier? Then 'God's Chosen Leader' could rule the planet.

The FFL, or 'Floating Feeder-Lot,' would be the size of an aircraft carrier, but built more like an oil drilling platform. Haliburton would, of course, get the no bid contract to build it.

With the focus of Manhattin-Project scientists, and about 50 billion dollars, Halliburton's engineers could work their magic, and by next year, Barbra Bush could be swinging a bottle of champaign to launch Amerika's first giganic FFL, christening it the "USS Rush Limbaugh."

Powered by environmental friendly methane, and built large enough to feed and quickly offload a typical commercial feederlot's capacity of one million pigs, Bush would be able to beach the 'swine-ark' where ever in the Holyland he believed he needed it.

Loud speakers, or colorful-festive clusterbombs could be strapped to the razor-back's backs, so that the pigs would be blaring punk rock and jazz as they scampered thru the cazbas, exploding whenever heat-sensors find a wedding gathering or mosque.

13. We use bomb-sniffing dogs. What's the problem?
I never heard that a pig's nose is better than a dog's. I doubt it, personally.

Geese are used to give alerts around our airbases.

But pigs? Sounds like a joke story.

16. gee, seems to me
that according to most Muslims, a terrorist who doesn't touch a pig isn't getting no 70 virgins either. Something tells me that the freaks who claim religion as jusitification for killing people, stealing land, and encouraging suicide are not going to let a few pigs get the in way.

17. not a good statement
"according to most Muslims, a terrorist who doesn't touch a pig isn't getting no 70 virgins either."

Terrorist is not going to heaven regardless of touching a pig or not. I'd like to think I fall in that "majority of Muslims" so we don't have to make posts like the one above:)
