Muslim Fans Say They Were Profiled At NFL Game

POSTED: 12:29 pm CST November 2, 2005

NEWARK, N.J. -- Several Muslim football fans claim they were profiled and unfairly detained by stadium security personnel and the FBI at Giants Stadium during a game in September.

...

FBI spokesman Steven Segal told The Associated Press the five were congregating near the main air intake duct during the Giants-Saints game.

The fans were removed from their seats and questioned after other fans saw them prostrating themselves on the ground as part of daily Muslim prayers, which must be performed five times each day.

Former President George H.W. Bush was among the 80,000 fans on hand that night as part of a fundraising campaign he and former President Bill Clinton were leading for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

5. Next time you see a Christian praying at a football game, call security.

Oh, I forgot, Christians don't kill people! Well, except for Timothy McVeigh. And Eric Rudolph. And George W. Bush. And 90% of the people in prison for murder, who profess to be Christians.

8. The people in prison.
You can say that they weren't following Christian teachings but if you asked those guys before they went in and they would tell you that they were Christian for the most part.

13. So what were they before, pre-born Christians?
If they claim to be Christian they're Christian. No one stopped to take a poll on whether the men praying at the football game were real Muslims are radical terrorist pretenders to Islam.

14. I don't see the problem here.
You have a group of people huddling up near the main intake air duct when the President is in attendance. There is going to be a hightened sense of security so anything that looks suspicious is going to be checked out.
