GOP strategy bigs deserting (Katherine) Harris for K.T. (McFarland)
Republican operatives abandoning the foundering campaign of Florida Rep. Katherine Harris are popping up in New York to help keep K.T. McFarland's Senate hopes afloat.

Longtime Harris adviser Adam Goodman, whose departure last week was seen as the effective end of her struggling campaign for a Republican Senate bid, has climbed onboard with McFarland.

Goodman, a political consultant who worked for Rudy Giuliani's aborted 2000 GOP Senate campaign against Sen. Hillary Clinton, said he's itching to take her on again.

...snip...

Veteran GOP strategist Ed Rollins, who also quit Harris' campaign, is McFarland's chief strategist.

Sort of like being on the Titanic, and getting rescued by the Lusitania...

2. Whores crossing the street to work another corner
McFarland has about as much chance of winning in November as Harris does. A little surprising, though; if Harris is really determined to spend herself into penury, as she claims she is, I would think an anything-for-money creep like Ed Rollins would be in line with his porky hand out to scoop up as much of the futile expenditures as he could.

3. Katherine Harris do the proper thing, write a tell all book
and fess up!

You know the inside story better than everybody else. Give it back to the disloyal slugs you helped into the WhiteHouse in 2000.

4. And yet the New York State GOP Chairman endorsed Spencer
Edited on Tue Apr-04-06 09:19 AM by Ignacio Upton
Stephen Minarik, who's been having a fight with Rollins recently over strategy came out an endorsed former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer (he's the bigger wingnut out of the two Republican contenders.) I like your analogy about leaving the Titanic for the Lusitania. McFarland will basically torpedoing her own candidacy with her comments of how Hillary follows her with blackhawk helicopters.

5. I just took a look at KT McFarland's website
And this gem stood out:

"She supports simplification of the overly-complex federal tax code and elimination of the dreaded "death tax", which hits New York families disproportionately hard."

Oh, yeah...all of those many, many New York blue-collar families from the Bronx all the way up to Buffalo who are in the million-dollar plus bracket...:sarcasm:

As soon as the term "death tax" pops out of a Republican's mouth, you can be sure that some underachieving and dependent scion of a multi-millionaire passed a hefty campaign check to the Republican over cheese-and-crackers at a recent cocktail party.
