6. Israel's leaders believe they have a right to Lebanon's water
We are seeing the real motive for war of the 21th century -- WATER WATER

We know now that Israel has been preparing for this war for YEARS and was ready to go ONE year ago.

The bit about going to war over the two soldiers is a big FAT lie. Now when Israel was preparing and ready to go to war long before the two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped. Sure Hizbolla is a thorn in Israel's side -- but they are not THE reason for THIS war. They are a convenient cover story -- an emotional trigger that allows them to claim "self defense" or whatever. Hizbolla is a perfect foil for the REAL reason for THIS war -- which is a war over water resources. Water in this century will be more precious than oil.

Here's my evidence for my accusation against Israel --

Israel warns of war over water

An alleged Lebanese scheme to divert water from a river feeding Israel's largest reservoir could provoke a war, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has warned.

Israeli army radio quoted the prime minister as saying on Tuesday that the issue constituted a "casus belli", or "grounds for war".

He was addressing senior military and civilian officials after a cabinet meeting.

Lebanon opened a pumping-station on the River Hasbani in the spring of 2001 to irrigate a drought-stricken village but denies that it plans to dam the river.

The river supplies between 20 and 25% of the water flowing into the Sea of Galilee, an official at Israel's Ministry of Agriculture was quoted as saying by the French news agency AFP.

It rises in Lebanon and flows for about 50 kilometres (30 miles) through its territory before joining the River Jordan and emptying into the Sea of Galilee.

Warning

Army radio said Mr Sharon had notified the United States that Israel could mount military operations should Lebanon begin pumping water out of the Hasbani or its tributary, the River Wazzani.

You know, they started this in the late ’60s, when there was a couple Fatah guerrillas in South Lebanon. They bombed Beirut Airport in 1968 for the first time. Then what they got back was a much bigger Lebanese resistance, a leftist nationalist resistance, with the PLO. Then they went into Lebanon in the ’70s, and then in ’80 they occupied South Lebanon, and they reaped in return for that Hezbollah. And they went into Hezbollah in 1996. They tried to wipe them out from the south, and what they have now is a much stronger Hezbollah, supported by Syria and Iran, with missiles that are hitting Haifa and Safed and other Israeli towns.

10. Technically, there has already been an invasion
This shows how debased the language of warmongering has become - 10 days of steady air-strikes is not considered an invasion.

12. Has Israel finally bombed out the 'fanaticism' that creates a
Hezzbolah? No, but a hell of alot of people are dead in 9 days and scores of Lebanese civilians have no home anymore. Hezzbolah, however, will continue to operate business as usual.

13. Israel seems to be acting as a recruiting agent for Hizbolla
If people are angry with an invader and want to take revenge -- what group will they join??

To see that much destruction to one's country and to see all the death and injuries to primarily civilians -- and only ONE organization in Lebanon seems to be hitting back at Israel's aggression would sure help the recruiting efforts of Hizbolla.

To take away everything from a people -- they have nothing left and are easy recruits for the only force going against Israel.

Israel is really stupid -- they helped to create Hizbolla in their last invasion of Lebanon -- Hizbolla evolved to fill a power void left by the Israel invasion of Lebanon.

What happens when Israel can no long control the monster she has created???
