UN still waiting for US report on Iraq weapons
United Nations weapons inspectors say they still have not been given a key report by American and British experts who have searched post-war Iraq for weapons of mass destruction.

The revelation is contained in a report by UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC), the UN arms team which originally monitored Baghdad's weapons programs and left on the eve of the war.

The interim report from the US-led Iraq Survey Group was completed in October.

Controversy has raged over whether the regime of Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, cited as a main reason for the US-led war that ended his regime.

The Bush administration has said the survey group's report confirms its statements about Saddam's weapons programs, even though it also admits no WMDs have been found.

1. I have been reading but not posting lately.
I was just curious as to whether or not this has anything to do with the State Department employee who took his jacket and shoes off and then pushed himself from the roof.

8. liberaln, you missed the Body Found in the UN Lounge last week, also
only a blurb with no follow up. It was listed in the Reuter's/AP report as an "Isolated Incident." One assumes that meant that "other bodies" were not expected to be found in the UN Lounge.

2. Well gee whiz - give the BFEE time to plant some !!

. . The UN was doing their job, and the BFEE "kicked" the UN out so they could have their illegal Invasion

. . and only the USA's superior firepower is stoppng other nations from "putting the USA down"

. . The USA is indeed the Military Bully of the 21st Century

Just My Humble Canuk Opinion

4. They'll be waiting a while.
They'll either have to lie or leave the UN. I wouldn't be surprised with either move.

9. Bush to UN: "What WMD? We never said anything about WMD...
We wanted to save the people of Iraq from an evil dictator."

Move along.

10. US / UN relations
We always thought (those of us from the 50's and 60's) that the much heralded, and feared, "World Goverment" (Agggghh! said the loyal oppostion conservatives) would come from the wildly democratic UN.
Whoooops, should 'ave known better.

World government is alive and well: the US neoconservatist pre-emptive military movement has hatched what this administration is calling a "global democratic revolution".

Hello Orwell.
