Gee the election is over and the price of oil goes up. I am shocked!

"Crude-oil futures closed above $61 a barrel Thursday for the first time in two weeks, buoyed by data showing a smaller-than-expected rise in U.S. crude inventories in the latest week, a fifth week of declining distillate supplies and growing expectations that major oil producers will follow through with a promise to cut output. . . .

Crude for December delivery closed up $1.33, or 2.2%, at $61.16 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange after touching $61.33 -- its loftiest intraday level since Oct. 26. The contract added almost a dollar on Wednesday after the government's weekly tally of supplies was released.

Among the oil products, December unleaded gasoline closed up 3.74 cents at $1.601 a gallon and December heating oil traded at $1.7456 a gallon, up 3.5 cents."
