While are letting ourselves become distracted by a presidential election that is nineteen months in the future, we are falling into the trap of hoping we can just let the clock run out on the worst presidency in history. The downward spiral of our military will continue unabated, tempting would be aggressors to seize an historic opportunity to humiliate us. Impeachment is no less imperative now than it was when we first realized the disastrous course this administration had charted. Impeachment will be a sign to the world that we are still the nation we once professed to be. While we don’t really get a “do over”, we do have the constitutional remedy and a moral imperative to start the process of rebuilding our democracy.

April 24 (Bloomberg) -- Vice President Dick Cheney made an unscheduled visit to his physician for an examination of a blood clot discovered last month in his leg, his spokeswoman said.

Cheney is visiting his doctor this morning on the campus of the George Washington University Medical Center, Cheney spokeswoman Megan McGinn said. The check-up was added to his schedule today, she said.
