Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Ariz.) said Thursday in a statement obtained by Roll Call that he will not seek re-election in 2008, ending months of speculation regarding the ethically clouded Congressman’s political future.

The people have a right, a need to know exactly what kind of deep doo doo this dodo has gotten our country into.

The Renzi family business was Patriot Insurance Agency. His dad ws/is a top official at ManTech International Corp., a defense contractor with a $570M contract in 2005. Another entity is NSI Technology Services Corp.

Renzi was on the House intelligence committee, and his district contained Ft. Huachuca of intell/torture fame.
