2. interesting -- the way we are all trying to confront terrorism
and the individual extremists who carry out these acts is like trying to hold water in your hands.

unless the world can come up with another way of dealing with this problem -- this will continue.

3. No mention of this news on MSM
of course not....they cant even follow Iraq objectively...forget about the "Original" war on terror.

It is unfortunate that we are forgetting where 911 terrorists originated and are wasting our resources on a needless war....

it will come back to bite us...big time

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Sept. 13 — At least 15 soldiers from an elite commando unit were killed Thursday evening when a blast, apparently set off by a suicide bomber, tore through the dining hall of a military installation in northwestern Pakistan, military officials said.

At least 27 soldiers were wounded; six were in critical condition.

The soldiers killed belonged to a unit of Special Services Group, commonly known as commandos, of the Pakistani military. Pakistan’s president, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who is also the military chief, belongs to the S.S.G.

The attack took place about 50 miles outside the capital, Islamabad, in the cantonment area of Tarbela Ghazi at the brigade headquarters of the Special Operation Task Force. The unit has been set up with American aid to flush out Al Qaeda from the semiautonomous tribal areas on the border with Afghanistan...

9. I have no idea what you are talking about.
I'm just saying that the bomber must have had help to get to his detonation point. You think a bunch of hi-octane spooks like this would have inadequate security measures?

there is problems in Pakistan that goes back to the days when the ISI was overseeing Afghanistan the way Syria oversaw Lebanon.

11. The dead guys. You think they wanted to get themselves killed?
I know there are problems in Pakistan, I still don't see what you are trying to say. I'm just pointing out that the bomber had to have some inside help.

12. Well, most assasination attempts are inside jobs too
and this one succeeded.

Only a matter of time before it succeeds on Musharraf.

This demonstrates a total failure of US to control Al-Qaeda and Islamic extremism in Pakistan / Afghanistan. This is the area that needs more attention than Iraq.

We are mired in a war that is distracting us from the real problem.

and US mainstream media is not helping.

14. It's all part of the unreported war of Independence
Baloch Liberation Army
is an organization dedicated to fighting for the independence of Balochistan. At the moment, sovereignty over the region is split between Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The indigenous population are known as the Baloch, who typically follow the Hanafi school of Sunni Islam and speak either Balochi or Brahui. The stated goals of the organization include driving the Pakistani and Iranian military personnel currently present in the territory out, and the establishment of a sovereign Baloch government. The name Baloch Liberation Army first became public in summer 2000, after the organisation claimed credit for a series of bomb attacks. In 2006, the BLA was declared to be a terrorist organisation by the Pakistani and British governments
