*Draws a deep breeze of air into his lungs*
*waits a few seconds*
Ah the triumph ... *sigh*

Yesterday/today our most rightwing Federal Councillor Christoph Blocher was voted out of the Federal Council. Instead the United Federal Chambers voted Evelyne Widmer-Schlumpf, a woman of the same party but not radical (to the right) and not such an agitator.

Even if Switzerland does not move the world in ways USA, Russland, China, GB, France, Germany, etc. do, this is a major victory against the rightwing in our country, uniting left and center to remove this egomaniac xenophobic wanna-be-king from our Federal Council. For the first time in swiss history there is now a parity between women and men in the Swiss executive. (Federal Council + Federal Chancellerie), which surly adds nicely to the result.

Have a good day, i surely will

NM.

(translation will follow if i get the time)
