Former Texas home of Bushes burned by arsonist
Source: Reuters

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A home where President George W. Bush lived as a young boy with his parents in Odessa, Texas, and that is now part of a presidential museum there was damaged on Thursday by a fire that investigators blamed on arson.

"I can tell you it has been determined that it was intentionally set, but I cannot discuss anything about evidence or possible suspects because this is an ongoing criminal investigation," said city of Odessa spokeswoman Andrea Goodson.

Museum administrator Lettie England said no motive for the blaze had been determined and there was no reason at this point to believe it was a political act. She said there were no notes or messages left at the scene.

The then 2-year-old Bush lived in the two-bedroom home from September 1948 to April 1949 with his father, former President George Bush, then a trainee for an oil company, and his mother, Barbara Bush.

40. Bush moved to Midland Texas when he was four years old
He lived in Midland for about 10 years.

His family lived in very modest homes in Midland. The one he lived in longest is now restored. It's a very modest home with an I Love Lucy 50's feel to it. Perfectly nice home, but could not even jokingly be called a luxurious house, much less a mansion.

Bush went to public elementary school, played Little League, but then went off to a boarding school back east.

He came back to Midland as an adult. He lived in a couple of backyard servants type rented houses but then later got some nicer and nicer homes as he went into the oil bidnuss.

One of my co-workers claims W was his T-Ball coach. He also taught adult Sunday school for years at First Methodist and I have some customers who were in his class.

Here's a picture of the house...

10. Normally I would condemn an act of vandalism like this, but in my heart I cannot.
The Royal Bushies have crushed the Aerican People beneath their iron boots of contempt, and it is clear we aqre little more than filthy animals to them.

They have looted the Treasury, murdered thousands of our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, to no end other than their own power and wealth.

They have Anthraxed Congress and the People, they have let Bin Laden walk free.

They have stolen everything that makes us American, and reprogrammed us into monsters.

Likely they expect we will keep rolling over like most of our craven "opposition" leaders, they expect we will go from freedom to slavery with a smile. And maybe we still will.

But I cannot condemn the vandals. In my mind they are no different than those who donned Indian Costumes and dumped tea into Boston harbor to voice their displeasure at another King.

17. Wikipedia
Born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 6, 1946, Bush was the first child of George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush (née Pierce). Bush was raised in Midland and Houston, Texas, with his four siblings, Jeb, Neil, Marvin, and Dorothy. Another younger sister, Robin, died in 1953 at the age of three from leukemia.<14> Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a U.S. Senator from Connecticut, and his father served as U.S. President from 1989 to 1993. He is also distantly related to President Franklin Pierce and several other presidents.
Bush attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, where he played baseball, and was the head cheerleader at the all-boys school during his senior year.<15><16> Following in his father's footsteps, Bush attended Yale University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in history in 1968.<17> As a college senior, Bush became a member of the secretive Skull and Bones society. By his own characterization, Bush was an average student.<18><19>

was that he and Jane lost at least one child (maybe more), and he did it to deal with the severe grief and depression that he and she both felt.

I think that's what I've heard.
