Searchers find possible graves at Manson compound
Source: CNN

DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, California (AP) -- Bone-white stretches of salt, leached up from the lifeless soil, lay like a shroud over the high desert where a paranoid Charles Manson holed up after an orgy of murder nearly four decades ago.

Now, as then, few venture into this alkaline wilderness -- gold-diggers, outlaws, loners content to live and let live.

But a determined group of outsiders recently made the trek. They were leading forensic investigators searching for new evidence of death -- clues pointing to possible decades-old clandestine graves.

And the results of just-completed followup tests suggest bodies could indeed be lying beneath the parched ground. The test findings -- described in detail to The Associated Press, which had accompanied the site search -- conclude there are two likely clandestine grave sites at Barker Ranch, and one additional site that merits further investigation.

2. Only tourists try to drive up that wash. It's the wrong way to get there.

3. Here's a reason not to worry about protecting your precious bodily fluids...
The machine detects fluorinated hydrocarbon compounds, one of the approximately 400 types of volatile organic compounds emitted by human bodies during decomposition. Focusing on these compounds is important because Vass believes they're formed as the fluoride added to urban drinking water is released after death.

Household pets also drink municipal drinking water, too, though.

9. Manson family's pets were probably of the two footed variety.

Weird that possible grisly news from the past is showing up now.

Seems almost synchronistic. This happening while the country's about to be plunged into an economic holocaust.

Victims of a madman cry out from decades ago for justice, just as the skeletons buried and thought long forgotten from decades of Republican malfeasance, return to wreak havoc on the the American public who ignored the signs while happily entertaining themselves with TV and war.

4. I went to watch a few videos on
Youtube. In this one and at times, both in content and form, there is a striking resemblance with guess who...

6. I watched this interview . . .
. . . in its entirety on MSNBC a couple of weeks ago and was stunned at the similarities with "guess who." They could be brothers. I mentioned it to my dad, but since he didn't see the interview he dismissed my suggestion. I'm glad there's someone else out there that saw the resemblance besides me... It was spooky!

8. I clicked on your link without reading the part about the striking resemblance to
guess who...

At first, I thought this guy is not just a sociopath, he's a raving lunatic. Then, as he got more lucid and talked about being incompetent, I was blown away by his manner of speaking, his voice, and his mannerisms. It was almost as if we were in a parallel world and Charles Manson was his parallel world self... What guess who would have been without the priviledged background.

So what were either or both of guess who's parents doing nine months before Manson was born?

5. Bugliosi speculated that there were a lot more murders.
I vaguely recall him speculating on many more murders by the Manson family near the end of his book, Helter Skelter. One obvious example was the suspicious death of one of the defense attorneys during the trial and/or sentencing, but there were many others as well.

10. "For years, rumors have swirled...." It's also rumored that Karl Rove had Paul Wellstone murdered.
And in IMO, that is more likely than this this bizarro article actually reporting anything that will prove to be of any significance.

40 years later. Get real.
