Breaking at MWO: Howard Kurtz (WP) caught in ethics probe
http://mediawhoresonline.com/

MWO has learned from highly informed Washington sources that Howard 'Mistah' Kurtz faces numerous dangerous charges of conflict-of-interest and influence peddling in his media column at the Washington Post...The charges stem from documented instances of Kurtz's involvement in what appears to be insider trading of information aimed at enriching his wife, GOP right-wing media consultant Sheri Annis..."No one has used the word 'fired' yet," one source close to the investigation told MWO, "but Kurtz better be watching his back."...

10. That 's a surprise to me. What happened to her? Or, was she an Operative
all along. "Beware the Moles" in the campaign, should be the new buzzword. I'm convinced Stephanopolis was a plant in Clinton's campaign.

5. Howie the Whorie should be fired.

Yet, we can not expect his employers to take action against any Republican.

The Washington Post sold out to right wing interests long ago.

13. So what slot on Fox will be given him - Joe murdered mistress and got
an hour on Fox cable news.

This is a small crime compared to Scarburough, so he may just become a consultant.

 but, agree that they probably wouldn't listen. I just sent a complaint to him in December of a David Broder column and didn't even get an answer.

People do eventually respond to lots of squeaky wheels. They have to. Especially if they get enough of 'em. Besides, management looks over the shoulders of these people.

on edit -

BETTER STILL:

When you email him, CC it to the editor, and the publisher. That way they'll all know that OTHER eyes are seeing this, too. Gives 'em less plausible deniability.

9. Howies Wife (Sherri Annis) trashed Dean. Check out this Clip!
*Plus, with the Iowa caucuses less than a week away, is Democratic Presidential Candidate Howard Dean's political campaign starting to loose its footing? Democratic political strategist Mary Anne Marsh and Republican media consultant Sherri Annis weigh in.

My after-the-fact predictions: Sherri Annis said that Dean's campaign in unraveling because Dean seems so angry all the time, and that turns off voters, who don't want a Mr. Grumpy for their President. Dean also seems all crazy and stuff. Bill chimed in with a reference to Dean abandoning his church for a bike path, and believing that President Bush, the Masons, and the reptilian space aliens were behind 9/11. Mary Anne didn't get a chance to say much.

17. This explains Howard's kiss-up book on Wall Street, misleadingly called
*The Fortune Tellers: Inside Wall Street's Game of Money, Media and Manipulation.*

It was like a compilation of fan mag articles on all the nice people who run brokerages and hedge firms and all the nice, clever things they do to make money for their customers! LOL!

These were his partners in crime!

30. So glad you caught this about his book at the height of the "Bubble."
What a Whore Howie is....He was being fed info for years all the while getting jobs as a "so-called" Media Critic in WaPo and on CNN!

He's a disgusting piece of work. His fellow journalists should trash him....but "oh My!" they are all on the "dole" too. So who is left who can consider themselves "untainted."

Payola! Pay for info. And, they "pass for journalists." :puke:

35. Yeah just like Robert "I'm a fucking traitor" Novak
CNN has no shame. None at all. I used to think they were better than FOX News but I have recently come to the conclusion that they are just better at hiding their extreme bias (though still not good at it, of course).

An MWO World Exclusive

KURTZ PROBE WIDENS AMID NEW CHARGES
'Flagrant' Abuses Cited
Mistah K's Silence Deepens Suspicions
CNN Tapes, Invite Lists Under Scrutiny

The probe into Howard "Mistah" Kurtz’s ethics violations has deepened, highly informed sources have told MWO.

As reported earlier on MWO, Kurtz faced charges that he used his Washington Post column to promote the financial interests of his wife, the right-wing Republican media consultant Sherri Annis.

Investigators initially focused on a column of Kurtz’s, from last Friday, January 23, in which Kurtz promoted a right-wing oppo magazine and web site where Annis also appeared ten days earlier.

Investigators observed that Annis's article may serve to solicit interest and patronage for Fourth Estate Strategies, an inside-the-Beltway "media and communications" operation of which Annis is president:

With Arnold Schwarzenegger, on the other hand, we had hundreds of journalists panting for an interview during his 2002 afterschool-initiative campaign. We picked our outlets carefully, but even when we granted several interviews in one day, we had a movie-trained spokesman who knew how to stay on message. We also had millions of dollars for commercials, which is very helpful in a market the size of California. Even though we flew around the state doing media appearances, Schwarzenegger wouldn't hang out with reporters for stream-of-consciousness color pieces. It was a disciplined approach that foreshadowed the carefully controlled access of his winning gubernatorial campaign.

Should her January 13 piece heighten interest in Annis's PR group, Kurtz stands to profit personally and directly from his January 23 column promoting the publication in which it appears.

Now, sources close to the investigation tell MWO, the net has been cast wider, to include allegations of systematic abuse of journalistic ethics by the embattled media columnist.

Wow. I am quite full of hate today. Maybe it was the fact that the first two threads I read at DU were:

1) Dr. Kelly "didn't commit suicide"

2) The 9/11 Panel is blaming the *FAA* for 9/11 lapse

I want some blood.
