Palin praises 'Joe the Plumber' for ruining Obama photo-op
Source: CNN

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin invoked "Joe the Plumber" again on Saturday, needling Sen. Barack Obama for having a "staged photo-op" interrupted by a voter asking him a question about taxes.

Joe the Plumber, whose real name is Samuel Joe Wurzelbacher of Toledo, Ohio, was made famous by Sen. John McCain who invoked his name during Wednesday's presidential debate. The Ohio resident asked Obama a question about taxes, which was caught on tape, sparking a backlash by the Arizona senator's campaign.

"So when he left Joe's neighborhood in Toledo, our opponent didn't look real happy," Palin, speaking in Pennsylvania, said of Obama. "Seems that the staged photo-op there got ruined by a real person's question," she said.

"So here's a guy working -- standing there in his neighborhood when a candidate for president shows up and he wanted more than just a handshake and a campaign button. He wanted some answers."

If anything, I think it made Obama look good. Think McCain would spend five minutes in a discussion with a guy who obviously didn't agree with him?

And the article mentions the embarassing Philadelphia incident where someone stung her on a question about Afghanistan.

4. She sounds like a grad from Camp Limbaugh -- all those Republican women
that say nothing remotely related to reality. Ugly and Stepfordish.

Staffers were forced to explain the two candidates' apparently conflicting views in a national television interview days later.

Poor pitiful Palin.

8. Oh Sarah, you still don't get it. Doncha know, most people don't care about
the plumber. We care about seeing the next president of the United States and we saw him! There was nothin to ruin there. Maybe if you were in touch with "real" Americans you'd know that. Do we love Obama? You betcha!

9. She doesn't know the Real McCain
One of my friends worked at a cafe near McCain's office in AZ while a student. She is a republican, but says that due to her frequent interaction with Senator McCain (and his wife), she would never vote for him. Her words: "He's a pompous jerk and his wife is even worse."

The REAL McCain has no concern or sympathy for working-class people. He doesn't put himself in their shoes, can't empathize...he's so far removed from the real world and real people, he actually believed a typical plumbing business could make more than a quarter million dollars a year.

And he's a lousy tipper!!!!!!!

13. SNL audience should ruin her photo-op tonight
I hope the audience at the SNL show tonight all stand up and turn their back to the stage during her bit tonight. It wouldn't disrupt the show but it would let her know they won't stand for her BS. After all, didn't Palin imply that people who don't live in small towns aren't Pro-American. They should let her know they aren't Pro-Palin.

16. But she's got a...A-A-A-R-G-H-H...
It was Homecoming Night at my high school,
Everyone was there, it was totally cool,
I was real excited, I almost wet my jeans,
'Cause my best friend Debbie was Homecoming Queen.

She looked so pretty in pink chiffon. (Chiffon)
Riding the float with her tiara on. (Tiara on)
Holding this humongous bouquet in her hand. (Bouquet)
She looked straight out of Disneyland!
You know that Cinderella ride
I mean definitely an E-ticket. (E-ticket!)

The crowd was cheering, everyone was stoked,
I mean it was like the whole school was totally coked or something.
The band was playing 'Evergreen'
Then all of a sudden, somebody screamed:
Look out! The Homecoming Queen's got a GUN!!!

Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen's got a gun!
Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen has got a gun!

Debbie's smiling, and waving her gun
Picking off cheerleaders one by one
Oh! Buffy's pom-poms just blew to bits
Oh no, Misty’s head just did the splits!

My best friend is on a shooting spree
Stop it, Debbie, you're embarrassing me!
How could you do what you just did
Are you having a really bad period?

Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen's got a gun!
Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen has got a gun!
Stop it, Debbie, you're making a mess
Powder burns all over your dress

An hour later, ,the cops arrived.
By then the entire Glee Club had died - no big loss.
You wouldn't believe what they brought to stop her,
Tear gas, machine guns... even a chopper!

Throw down your gun and tiara and come out of that float!

Debbie didn't listen to what the cop said,
She aimed and fired, and now the math teacher's dead!
Oh, it's really sad, but kind of a relief,
I mean we had this big test coming up next week.

Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen's got a gun!
Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen has got a gun!
Debbie's really having a blast!
She's wasting half of the class!

The cops fired a warning shot that blew her off the float.
I tried to scream Duck!, but it stuck in my throat.
She hit the ground and did a flip, it was real acrobatic.
But I was crying so hard, I couldn't work my Instamatic.

I ran down to Debbie, I had to find out.
What made her do it, why'd she freak out?
I saw the bullet had got her right in the ear.
I knew then...the end was near.

So I ran down and said - in her good ear.
Debbie, why’d you do it?
She raised her head and smiled and said.
I did it for Johnny.

Johnny, well like who's Johnny? Answer me Debbie who's Johnny.
Does anybody here know a Johnny?
Are you Johnny? There was one guy named Johnny.
But he was a total geek. He always had food in his braces.

Answer me Debbie who's Johnny.
Oh God this is like that movie Citizen Kane.
You know where you later find out Rosebud was a sled.
But we’ll never know who Johnny is because, like, she’s dead.

Everybody run, the Homecoming Queen’s got a gun...
