Lieberman Promises Voters McCain "Will Live To 85 At Least"
Source: The Huffington Post

Asked again on Sunday whether Sarah Palin is ready to be president, Sen. Joe Lieberman went one step further than he has in past remarks -- virtually pledging to voters that John McCain "will live to 85 at least."

In an audio clip of the Tampa, Florida, event obtained by the Huffington Post, Lieberman acknowledged that he has spoken "to doctors and insurance actuaries" about McCain's health, "because I get asked this question so much."

"People say to me, oh jeez, he's 72 and he's got skin cancer," Lieberman said, adding: "I can tell you he's been in remission for eight years. Secondly, I talked -- because I get asked this question so much -- I talked to doctors and insurance actuaries. And they tell me based on McCain's age, his health, including skin cancer, he'll live till at least 85. And probably longer."

Lieberman once again offered a prayer that Palin would not soon have to serve as commander in chief: "I believe that he'll be able to serve through his first term for which he's elected, please God."

4. Yeah, he COULD physically live to be 85. But if develops Alzheimer's....
that's not going to do us a whole lot of good, is it, Joe?

I rather doubt McCain WOULD live all that many years IF he was elected President. The Presidency is an extremely stressful job. Unless they plan on keeping him on vacation most of the time.

fortune teller. Mcsame could have a stroke or heart attack 5 minutes from now and die. What a stupid comment for traitor Joe to have made. Thousands of "healthy" people die every year from causes that were never expected.

Desperate much?

10. As a generic 72-year-old man, McCain would have an 85% chance of living to 76.
But given his medical history, from being tortured to developing melanoma (above the neck is more dangerous, right?), I would think THIS 72-year-old man wouldn't have chances that good.

As for living to 85? The guy already appears to have early-stage dementia, for God's sake! Sure, there's a fairly small chance he might still be alive come 2021, but he'd more than likely be "alive" in the way that Reagan was in last few years, i.e. nobody home.

19. These guys are very stupid.
You don't get bad things out of the news cycle by bringing them up over and over again. Palin keeps bringing up her wardrobe malfunction in order to get rid of it, and fucktard Lieberman keeps bringing up Gramps' age in order to dispel anxiety over his croaking and putting That Loon in charge.

Fail.

20. Amazing. I can't in good conscience make such a claim for *myself* . . .
It must be personally edifying, to be the Seer from Connecticut, able to cut through future's fog to see life's resolution for anyone, no less people other than yourself.

Wonder if Joe the Prophet is going to rent himself out for birthday parties or bar mitzvahs. He'd be a big hit, that's for sure -- far bigger as a prognosticating clown than he's been as a turncoat senator.

40. he means
Lieberman talked to his wife, who happens to be a lobbyist for the insurance industry.

And what side would he be on during a fiblibuster against UHC?
When every civilised nation has UHC and we don't, its an indebtment of the greed in the industry.

Remind me why he hasn't been removed from every committee? Allow him to caucus, but with no committee assignments. This way the repugs can't put him anywhere.

Just a thought.
