Rove vows to 'name names'
Source: CNN

<snip>

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted {Deputy Secretary of State} Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. {It's}because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

1. The sad thing is
Rove thinks his "names" will be angry or scared to be "outed."

I'd be tickled pink and make sure to tell everyone I know.

Karl Rove, political analyst and contributor for Fox News and former Deputy Chief of Staff for President Bush, was found dead today in his Washington, D.C. hotel room of an apparent suicide.

Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 05:20 PM by tom_paine
Sometimes Cheney, too, I'll bet.

But old Gauleiter Herr Roverer is going to be just fine. He's not going against his Bushie-Nazi buddies with this "expose", but against his usual victims, any of the handful of Democrats with the integrity to actually try to support the people they represent.

THOSE people will be targeted, and thus the Bushies have no reason to murder their own Goebbels. I mean, Hitler did murder Rohm, but only after Rohm actually betrayed Hitler and went against him.

Rove, as it is quite clear, is still in his Goebbels role.

Please do name names, Porky.

I want to know which Democrats are fully trustworthy.

Name names, you fat treasonous pig Rove!

11. in a blatant attempt to revive a dying career model
Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 01:22 PM by CitizenPatriot
Rove brings back the "Washington Outsider" meme which helped him win several elections for high-placed GOPPERS. He apparently failed to realize that those stupid Americans he counts on as his base were finally onto the game...hence the rejection of Alaskan "outsider", Sarah Palin. It seems even the stupid Americans Rove can usually count on got wise to the 350,000 dollar creation of the "outsider" Palin and are now rather pre-occupied with their own status as...employed or unemployed.

Failing to catch on the the growing movement of discontent achieved through his own policies, Rove pushed forward with his "Narrative" about a self-made outsider from Texas, self-pity and victim-hood a-plenty for those who like that sort of thing (GOPPERS unite!).

I do wish someone would clue the Rovester in to that whole not-accepting-Bush-as-president thing; Elections...The people...Democracy...Or, as I like to call it: Things to Study When You're Broke.

Good luck with that paperback piece of regurgitated, tired rePuke that is your "life" story, Rove. Lord knows more trees needed to be killed so you could get your point across...from the outsider status of a ...cable news pundit. You outsider, you:-)

26. You're very correct
the mass-mobilisation of the religious right was Rove's strategy and it worked in 2004 (alongside voter suppression and electoral hijinx).

The thing was, the religious-right were no longer going to be satisfied by being an oft-taken-for-granted voting bloc for the GOP hierarchy. They wanted real power and control over the GOP. Hence Sarah Palin. Rove's Frankenstein monster got loose and is destroying the GOP from the inside.

22. He must be naming Repukes...
Of course Democrats were going to be "unreceiving", they're the opposition. What's the point in naming names for them. This only makes sense (as I can see it) if he's planning to name the long time repukes that he felt were sabotaging *. This will also come in handy if he hopes to undercut some of the repuke potential hopefuls in 2012.

23. He tried naming persons who don't like him, but book became too long.
It would have cost 1.5M$ just to print one copy.

His book was noted on DU earlier. He was going to name names of who hated Bush. So many DUers wanted to be included I think he reposted as those who did not accept Bush as commander in chief, i.e. in his icky mind, unpatriotic... to the idiotic!

be getting in line to be named as one of those who were
