Republicans Disinvite Palin to Major Fundraiser
Source: Fox Snooze

Sarah Palin is out and Newt Gingrich is in.

Congressional Republicans decided Tuesday to ditch the former GOP vice presidential nominee in favor of the former House speaker for the critical House-Senate fundraising dinner in June 8 in Washington. It's the marquee Republican event to raise money for GOP House and Senate candidates.

Just weeks ago, the House and Senate Republican campaign committees were giddy at securing the telegenic Palin for the dinner. But then things grew murky. At the time, the Alaska governor's office told FOX News that Palin was still considering the invitation and had not yet made a decision. Meantime, spokespersons for the committees insisted that Palin was scheduled and it was just a misunderstanding between the Alaska governor's office and Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, that accepted the invite.

Sources familiar with the Palin snub fumed about how the governor handled this.

2. As thick and slow-moving as Republicans are, even a few of them know
that Palin is not going to be their 2012 nominee.

Even the thickest Republican in the bunch knows that at some point as nominee she would have to stand on a debate stage and take on Barack Obama.

That is not going to happen.

7. No, she can't. She can barely speak at all.
She in fact does most of her talking with a rifle from aloft, murdering wolves.

You won't last long on this site.

...Palin IS a great speaker. And Bush is a great speaker as well. And Cheney is a real sweetheart. And Rove is a shrinking violet. And Coulter and Limbaugh are rational. And so it remains, up is still down in rightwing world. Somethings will never change.

At least, when Reagan and Bush sr was using the TelePrompter, they got a message ut, who for the most part sound intelligent enough out...

But when Jr was using the TelePrompter, it never got a message out who was clear, and who at least sounded intelligent out.. It was just painfully to listen to mr Bush jr when he was talking.. Even when he was using all the tools in the book, it was going down the drain when he first opened his thick ugly mouth...

And if Obama are using the TelePrompTer, what so? Most american President I am aware of, have been using the tool for many year now. It is a tool that most politic ans are using, not just in the US, but in most country, they are using that.. If someone still believe that politicians are memorizing maybe a hour long speech, then they are just stupid.. They might have some hours to learn the most important parts of it by heart.. But for the most part, almost everyone are using some tools to remember a speech.. It is just the way everything are today..

44. I agree, Diclotican, this entire "teleprompter" bullshit is just more rightwingnut
bullshit.

They show their total stupidity by mocking President Obama for using one, when they don't even know the FACT that PALIN' uses one, as did/does their beloved republic presidents.

They also show how they merely swallow obediently whatever they're told by their masters and spew it around. They have no idea how dumb, how foolish, how totally used duped conned tricked they are.

It's tragic, actually, as their ignorance has allowed so many deaths, so many ruined lives.

And all they got now is to screech about President Obama using a teleprompter that EVERY REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT has used.

Rightwingnuts; stupidest MFers on the planet.

40. Here's how it's written up in the Anchorage Daily News
http://community.adn.com/adn/node/139955

Sarah's been hit pretty hard up here for partisan activity on state time and other ethical violations, so she knows people are watching her every move. I think her refusal to personally commit to speaking at this partisan function while having SarahPAC communicate with the RNC was an attempt to have it both ways. The party people probably assumed that SarahPAC's people were speaking for her, but in fact they weren't. She can say she never told the RNC that she would speak, and she can blame any misunderstanding on the PAC (and Meg Stapleton) and the national party.

Here's what Mudflats has to say:

http://www.themudflats.net/2009/03/31/gop-is-over-sarah-palin-and-is-dating-a-new-guy/

I see this commenter thinks the same way I do.

Team Alaska Says:
March 31st, 2009 at 6:41 PM
This was a very smart move on Gino’s part to pass up on this appearance. If she had committed to this event with all the confusion down in Juneau right now, there would be hell to pay. This Alaskan hockey mom that lives on a lake, knows what thin ice is! She is gifted at dancing on thin ice by the way, and is toying with are legislators right now. (WAR, Grussendorf, Stimulus,Doogan, Electrical projects, AGIA, ext.)

She is pacing herself, remember she is a runner in good shape physically! When she does seriously start campaigning for 2012-16 for herself!, she will have one hell of a fast pasted spin campaign with Meg at the helm managing the fast moving ship! Her goal right now is to look like a moma Alaskan bear, be anti-BO, keep her cubs in control with small political bombs, confusion, finger pointing, youbeta, and whining at the press/bloggers.

She has a plan and learned allot from a true veteran of political wars first hand. She can spin a campaign like no other. No one will be able to keep up with her “fresh no content populous thin air”, directly from Alaska. There will be lots of clever multi-media produced for GINO’s 6 pack minions, Alaska men NRA’er, pro lifers, big oil & gasers, proud military Americans, and conservative right wing fundies. Todd is even making videos now!

Sounds like she had a meeting with no balls gary steivens today, and it sure as hell doesn’t sound like anyone down in Juneau is holding GINO to,” task”.

Just more Alaskan politics as usual.

Thinking GINO is going to go away with out constant vigilance from the concerned public is just “Magical Thinking”.
