Pak Taliban claim responsibility for New York shootout
Source: The Times of India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud on Saturday claimed responsibility for a shooting incident at an immigration services office in New York which claimed 14 lives.

The Pakistani Taliban commander claimed the attack was launched by a Pakistani man and another unidentified man.

"I accept responsibility. They were my men. I gave them orders in reaction to US drone attacks," Mehsud said by telephone from an undisclosed location.

The chief of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan warned that "such attacks would continue" to avenge missile strikes by US drones in tribal areas and "brutalities in Palestine."

22. How so? - the shootings took place yesterday, Friday 3rd of May around 10:30am
.
.
.

other observations

13 people were killed in the last Drone attack in Pakistan

The shooter, with lots of ammunition and targets left, took his own life after killing 13 people.

SWAT was nowhere near to entering the building, didn't do so till HOURS after the last shot - so coulda killed MORE people without a problem.

The fact that he was not of Eastern descent, had been in the country legally for decades does NOT eliminate the possibility he was recruited by the Taliban or Al Qaida.

All our killings across the Globe are gonna come back to us sooner or later.

SOMEONE is gonna try to get even with us for our murderous ways across the ponds.

Maybe it's starting to happen?

More is coming.

Bet on it.

(sigh)

13. uh, grab a clue.
I already stated that the Taliban claim was simply a bid for attention. Clearly, that means the claim was bullshit. Obviously the Taliban had jackshit to do with the attack in Binghamton, which sadly, was almost certainly a run of the mill American shooting/mass murder tragedy.

The death of reading for comprehension is also a sad thing.

14. Isn't that weird?
Now, it has been reported that in the tribal areas, al Qaida has set up a campus where they bring recruits from all over the world and they have interpreters so these people can train in a bunch of languages. Some version of that is probably true.

But, this individual sure doesn't seem to be one of those students -- he's been here for over 20 years, right?
