114 HELD IN SWOOP ON POWER PLANT PROTESTERS

GREEN activists suspected of plotting to sabotage a power station and disrupt supplies were arrested in a massive police operation shortly after midnight yesterday.

Last night 114 men and women from across the UK were in custody for allegedly preparing to raid Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station in Nottinghamshire.

They were rounded up at the Bakersfield Community Centre in Sneinton by officers who arrived in a huge convoy of vehicles.
Detectives later revealed they had recovered specialist equipment and Superintendant Mike Manley said: “In view of such equipment recovered by police, those arrested posed a serious threat to the safe running of the site.

“This was a significant operation, with large-scale arrests. There were no injuries during the arrests, and the police investigation is ongoing.”

Last night those arrested were being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated trespass and criminal damage.
Witnesses said officers in more than 20 police vans descended on the plotters’ apparent rendezvous point in the early hours

2. oh NOZ!!!!!!

SUSPECTED!!!!!...and they had "special equipment"...probably the same kind of "terrorist equipment" the NRC-8 had..you know..those "special equipments" like umm car chains and a..a...rope!! I bet they found a shovel there too!!!
It makes me feel soooo much safer knowing people can be jailed and their lives ruined for POSSIBLY thinking about doing something! :P
