Michigan Unemployment Rate Jumps To 12.6% In March
Source: Associated Press

LANSING — Michigan’s unemployment rate jumped to 12.6 percent in March, up from 12 percent the month before.

The higher number is likely to keep Michigan in the spotlight as the state with the nation’s worst unemployment rate. The national unemployment rate in March was 8.5 percent.

The state Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Development said today that the weakness in the auto industry along with the national recession have “severely affected” Michigan’s labor market over the past year.

3. At least it jumped by less that one percent
That's the best spin I can put on it. The sad thing is that unemployment will continue to go up, especially after GM (and possibly Chrysler) go into bankruptcy.

Michigan at only 12.6% . . . !!!!????

I imagine it is much more --- everywhere!!!

And I don't think they extended benefits . . . did they?

At any rate, we should restore the original rules for unemployment benefits ---

Overturn Clinton's overturning of welfare guarantees --!!!

As we can see our problems aren't with "Welfare Queens" but with "Bailout Kings"

and "Capitalist Criminals" -- !!!
