NEW YORK (AP) -- An investment company run by the head of the Obama administration's auto task force has been accused of paying more than $1 million to an aide to New York's former comptroller in a bid to win a lucrative deal with the state pension fund.

Steven Rattner was an executive at the Quadrangle Group, a private equity firm, until he left this year to lead President Barack Obama's efforts to fix the U.S. auto industry. 3. Quit tapping CEO's of Private Corporations to help run our Government
Why? Why does it continue to happen? Maybe Rick Waggoner should take over the Auto Task force. Why not. He knows how to cheat and fail while making millions, so he's obviously the next choice.

4. as long as both parties agree that lackies of the oligarchs are the
only ones who can actually run government -- than this is the way it will always always be.

Why we are a democracy. Greatest democracy ever. Just look at Wall Street. Now if that's not democracy in action, what is?

And look at Afghanistan and Iraq. Both are now democracies. We liberated them and showed them how democracy works. Ain't it grand?

We haven't been a democracy since the day JFK was shot down in Dallas.

7. Put academics in charge!
Give the PhD's a raise, not the CEO's a pay cut! The revolving door has got to be locked!

8. Let's hope those NY state pension holders file a civil suit for damage done to their
pension to enable Mr Rattner to become more filthy rich.

9. It Will Take Time
for a new car czar to get up to speed. While it is unfortunate that Obama is having another one of his appointees exposed as a crook, the silver lining may be that the GM and Chrysler deadlines will now have to be extended.
