Five Bodies Found in Frederick County Home
Source: W Post

Homicide came to this tiny town in northwest Maryland today for the first time in more than two decades, when police were called to a bright yellow house where they found the bodies of a mother, a father and their three small children.

Authorities said Christopher A. Wood, 34, killed the others and then himself. His children -- boys 5 and 4, and their 2-year-old sister -- and wife died of cuts and lacerations, police said.

Police had never before been called to the house, and there was no known history of domestic violence, Frederick County Sheriff Charles Jenkins said at a news conference.

Jenkins said Wood left four separate notes, the contents of which he declined to disclose. Even so, he said, the killings remained essentially mysterious.

2. Even with the notes they aren't sure yet, horrible event, just horrible.
I wish we could see an aggressive effort via the air waves for people to call help lines in times of desperation, this is happening far too often.

4. Very sad. Shouldn't there be some sort of public health announcement by the surgent
general regarding men taking their anger out on their families by killing them this recession? Maybe Obama should speak to the issue. Too much. It happens far too often.

5. Nothing "mysterious" about the killings at all
Mentally-ill man allowed to own firearms. End of mystery.

9. Each was shot at least once with a .25 caliber...

The children's grandfather discovered the murder-suicide Saturday when he went to check on the family at their Middletown home, authorities said. Francis Billotti Wood, 33, and her children suffered "traumatic cuts" and each had at least one wound from a .25-caliber handgun, Frederick County Sheriff Charles Jenkins said. Her husband, 34-year-old Christopher Alan Wood, was found at the foot of his bed, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.

10. He used a gun
Edited on Sun Apr-19-09 08:09 PM by brentspeak

Authorities said Christopher A. Wood, 34, killed the others and then shot himself. Francie Billotti-Wood, a 33-year-old Sunday school teacher, and the children -- boys 5 and 4 and their 2-year-old sister -- were each shot once in the beds where they were found, police said.

I hope you're able to understand gun-manufacturer instructions and local and federal gun laws better than you can read a simple newspaper article.
