Halliburton CEO: In Discussions About Iraq Opportunities
Source: WSJ

HOUSTON (Dow Jones)--Oil services company Halliburton Co. (HAL) is in talks with international oil companies, as well as local firms, regarding potential business opportunities in Iraq, the company's chief executive David Lesar said Monday.

"We're having discussions with any large number of (international oil companies) about their ongoing discussions with the Iraqi government about starting operations there," Lesar said in an earnings call with investors.

Halliburton, which currently doesn't have operations on the ground there, would likely enter "traditional" service arrangements with those companies, Lesar said.

...

Deals with Iraqi oil and gas companies could materialize "maybe even faster" than deals with international oil firms, Lesar said.

2. Golly gee, you'd think Bush/Cheney cleared the way for Halliburton.
How nice.

Unfortunately, there were an awful lot of bodies lying around before they had their "mission" accomplished.

Now, to get down to the business of ending the war.

6. Now, what I would like to see NSA release are the wiretaps
of Halliburton's agents in conversations with various members of our government. That would really open a lot of eyes, I suspect.

So, where are the Halliburton wiretap records? Or was Halliburton spared?

8. And of course Halliburton is no longer a "US" corporation...
Truly horrendous to think our Congress has the blood of innocent Iraqis on its hands as a result of its support of what was and still is simply a war for oil. They will rot in hell along with Bush.

We really are shameful nation.
