US to help with black box search

The US is sending two sophisticated listening devices to help search for black boxes from the Air France jet that crashed over the Atlantic.

The underwater devices can detect signals from the black box data recorders up to a depth of 20,000ft (6,100m), the Pentagon said.

Officials are trying to recover the recorders as they look for clues about why the Airbus jet crashed.
