Judge to review Cheney interview with FBI
Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge says he wants to look at notes from the FBI's interview with former Vice President Dick Cheney during the investigation into who leaked the identity of a CIA officer.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan said he wants to review the documents after Obama administration lawyers said they would continue the Bush administration's fight to keep the interview from becoming public.

The Justice Department lawyers said future presidents and vice presidents may not cooperate with criminal investigations if they know what they say could become available to their political enemies and late-night comics who would ridicule them.

Sullivan the Justice Department must give him more precise reasons for keeping the information confidential.

8. Off to the greatest. Who wants a POTUS or a VP that refuses to cooperate with a
criminal investigation? So far, I am not seeing any difference between Holder's Justice Department and Gonzalez's Justice Department.

Can anyone help me out with that?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Late night comics? Is this really what this country has come to? That Presidents refuse to cooperate with a freakin' criminal investigation because a late night comic may make a joke.

Jaysus.

10. "Nope, I didn't tell Scooter to out her." I mean how much more
could there be? "I don't know anything about it."

What could anyone make fun of?

Geez, you know he lied and didn't admit anything.

I think any prez of vprez who is so entangled in a crime - as both dipshit and dipshit2 were - the people of this country have right to know what they said.

And, it should be a very serious matter. And very factual. You either were involved in a crime, knew about it, or the opposite.

13. Hmm. I really don't think we should base secrecy policy on what late night comics could do with the
information. A public servant does not have the right to protection from comedian jokes.
