Salazar won't run for Colo. governor
Source: MSNBC

DENVER - Interior Secretary Ken Salazar says he won't leave the cabinet to run for governor of Colorado.

"I have a job to do as Secretary of the Interior to implement President Obama's vision for a clean energy economy and to better protect America's great outdoors," said the Democratic former senator in a statement.

Some Democrats wanted Salazar to return to Colorado to seek the office being vacated by Gov. Bill Ritter, who announced Wednesday he will not seek re-election.

Salazar endorsed Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper to be the new Democratic candidate, calling him a "uniter" who would make "an excellent Governor" if he decides to run.

2. Good!! Colorado doesn't need a mutated republican who calls himself a democrat as governor.
But I guess in his defense, what is a moderate republican supposed to do, join the GOP?

5. Actually, I think we stand a better chance of having another Democrat as governor
with Ritter pulling out of the race. There are several other good choices - Hickenlooper, Perlmutter, Romanoff. All three have better chances at beating a republican here more than Ritter. Just my opinion.

3. Obama cabinet bright spot. Field & Stream rated him 2009 best "Hero" ...
for hunting and fishing efforts. The worst? Rush Limbaugh, since the gas bag is doing "public-service" spots for "the virulently anti-hunting Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), not to be confused with other completely separate organizations who use the words "humane society." HSUS is another ill-advised front in the culture wars, and is led by the avowedly "liberal" Wayne Pacelle.

Glad to see Obama didn't make a mess of this by appointing Salazar.
